I love the beauty and simplicity of Dwarf Fortress ASCII mode. The closest you get to a context clue is guessing what Dwarf Fortress thing starts with a particular letter. Guess wrong and the fun factor suddenly ratchets up. ASCII graphics arent seen much today, but here are some games that embrace them and use them.
